Hiva Alizadeh (b. 1989, Kerman Iran) lives and works in London UK. Hiva Alizadeh is a self taught artist whose work emerges from the ancient craft of Persian carpet weaving yet transcends material and form. Using synthetic hair he weaves vibrant tapestries that fall unravel and recompose in a continuous dance of color and texture. Each work embodies impermanence capturing the delicate tension between holding and letting go between structure and collapse. His practice dwells in the space between the figurative and the abstract.
