Mubarak Nasser Al-Thani (b. 1989) is a multidisciplinary artist from Doha, Qatar, currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His practice focuses on the aesthetic deconstruction of urban landscapes, exploring architecture, infrastructure, skylines, mobility, and everyday domestic objects as integral elements of city life. Through painting and mixed media, he examines how contemporary urban environments shape new modes of living driven by scale and convenience.

Working primarily with acrylic alongside ink, oil, pastel, charcoal, and other media, Mubarak combines controlled techniques with intuitive gestures. His works deconstruct existing architecture, introducing shifts in depth and perspective to emphasize form, color, texture, and composition. The resulting paintings balance precision and playfulness within a cubically fragmented visual language.

Mubarak holds a BA in International Politics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and an MA in Urban Planning from New York University. He has participated in artist residencies at the Doha Fire Station and ISCP, New York, and has exhibited internationally, including in New York, Paris, Geneva, Shanghai, Saint Petersburg, and Doha.
