Zainab AlShibani is a multidisciplinary Qatari artist based in Doha, Qatar. Her multidisciplinary practice is embedded in creating dream-like ideations of rituals, time and gender. Working with aluminum, graphite and various print techniques, Zainab’s work reflects on traditions and womanhood. The figures she depicts (mainly female) reflect on her unique encounters with symbology and the collective unconscious. The themes explored in her work are glimpses into her inner world of spiritual meditation, Khaleeji folklore and Arab mythology.
