Hissa Al Kuwari is a Qatari visual artist, and a graduate of VCUarts Qatar where she majored in Painting and Printmaking and completed a Minor in Art History. Hissa’s artistic practice is rooted in exploring women’s spaces, domestic settings, and girlhood. She integrates a distinctive, vibrant, palette of bright neon hues to evoke a vivid sense of time and place, while utilising a variety of materials and textures, from nostalgic patterns to bold brushstrokes and mixed media elements to invite viewers to connect with their own sensory experiences, evoking a range of emotions and memories.
